The fifth generation of the type limousine and station wagon version has been unveiled.

The most important car in the Mercedes-Benz is the C-Class, at least in terms of production and sales. It has sold over ten million units since 1982, and the guiding principle for the latest generation is to provide the brand’s luxury model technology, the S-Class, even for a two-size-fits-all sports model.

The dimensions of the latest generation presented now have not changed revolutionary and the body length is 4.75 meters. Its wheelchair was half a centimeter, 2.86 meters. The largest change in size took place in the rear-wheel drive, which increased by nearly five inches, giving the novel a dynamic shape. The luggage compartment capacity is 455 liters for a limousine and 490 liters for a combination.

The C-Class inherited many of the solutions from the S-Class, retaining the classic look of the model even with the significantly reduced body overlaps and refurbished LED headlights and bonnet.

The interior has been completely redesigned and the biggest innovation is the dashboard and its layout is also taken from the new S-Class. Depending on the equipment, the size of the center display may be 9.5 or 11.9 inches, while the display of the instrument cluster in front of the driver may be 10.25 or 12.3 inches.

In the engine compartment, all C-class electric propulsion is offered in conjunction with petrol or diesel. Available in entry-level C180 (170hp) and C200 (204hp) 1.5-liter engines. The C300 (258hp) version has a two-liter engine, while the diesel – the C220D (200hp) and C300D (265hp) – is a two-liter unit. All engines work with a soft hybrid system that generates an additional 20 hp and 200 Nm of power when needed.

According to the news, there is no need to wait long for the plug-in version, it is the first time that the petrol version is coming and it is powered by a 15.4 kWh battery based on a two liter cylinder which promises a power range of around 100. Electric high speed of 140 kilometers per hour and 140 kilometers per hour.

The new Mercedes C-Class will be available in Europe from the end of March and the first cars will arrive in the summer.
