1. Group notifications for apps
Notifications in iOS 12 are grouped according to context and threads. This means that you could end up with multiple notifications stack from the same app. If you wish, you can force iOS to show all notifications from an & # 39; app in a single stack.
To do this, go to settings -> notifications -> App and then from Grouping of notifications section, go to For app.
2. Disable grouped notifications
What happens if you find the concept of grouped notifications too annoying. Unfortunately, there is no switch to disable Grop notifications globally. But you can disable it according to the app.
In settings -> notifications -> App ->Grouping of notifications, choose the Street option.

3. Disable the Siri suggestions
Siri automation is everywhere in iOS 12. And the new Shortcuts app is really useful. But not all the suggestions displayed in the lock screen are useful.
You may also find annoying Spotlight suggestions. Do not worry, there's an easy way to disable the Siri Suggestions.
Go to settings -> Siri and researchAnd turn off the switch close to Tips on Lock Screen. And if you want to turn off suggestions in Spotlight, disable the Search suggestions feature.

4. Disable the on-screen reports
iOS 12 has a new digital wellness feature called Screen Time. Keep track of all activity on your device and at the end of the week send reports to let you know about your performance.
If you are not interested in using iPhone, or if you do not want to know it, these weekly instructions can be quite annoying. The next time you receive a notification from Screen Time, swipe left on it and tap Handle. From here, touch Turn off notifications. The Screen Time function will not bother you anymore!

5. Automatically delete the deleted voice memos
The recently redesigned Voice Memos app has a special feature. When you delete a voice recording, it goes to the Recently Deleted folder instead of actually being deleted. You must therefore go inside and delete it manually.
This is frustrating. Fortunately, there is a feature to automate the whole process. Go to settings -> Voice memos -> Delete deleted and choose 7 days or 30 days option.
Now the voice memos in the Recently Deleted folder will be deleted automatically after a certain period of time.
6. Share photos using iCloud Link instead of Smart Sharing
The new Smart Photo Sharing feature of iOS 12 is smart enough. But it requires that the other person is also an Apple user and the only reliable way to share photos is by using the Messages app. This is a recipe made for unreliability.
But there is a new feature little known in iOS 12 that lets you share any photo with anyone you want, instantly. Using a link.
Select the photos in question, touch the To share button and select Copy the iCloud link. Just paste this link in any chat. The other side will be able to view and download images as they please. Later, you can also enter and disable the link.
7. Use third-party password managers instead of the iCloud keychain
iCloud Keychain has a tight integration on every login page in iOS 12. It does not matter if it's an app or a website. This is a great news for iCloud Keychain users.
But if you're using a third-party app like 1Password, this can sting a little. You probably do not want to transfer all your passwords to iCloud if you have a more secure solution. You will not have to. iOS 12 allows third parties to connect to the same automatic password compilation system. You can activate a third-party service at a time. Then install the 1Password app on your iPhone and follow the instructions in the app to make it the default password auto fill tool on iOS 12.
8. Disable the USB restricted mode
iOS 12 has a new security feature called USB Restricted Mode. If enabled, it prevents USB accessories from automatically connecting to the iPhone if more than one hour has elapsed since the device was unlocked.
This means that whenever you want to connect a USB device, you need to physically unlock your iPhone or iPad. This is not just for synchronization, it is for any accessory that runs on USB. If you frequently use USB microphones or USB sticks with your iOS device, it can quickly become annoying. There is a way to disable this feature.
Go to settings -> Face ID / Touch ID and passcode and enter your passcode. Scroll down and touch the switch next to USB accessories. Now you do not need to authenticate your iPhone every time you try to sync using USB.
9. Use the keyboard shortcut on the iPad to access the Dock
iOS 12 does not offer much news for the iPad. But it gets the same gestures of the iPhone X. This means that now when you scroll up from the bottom of the screen on the iPad, you get to the Home screen. To access hip bone, now you have to scroll up and pause.
For the past year, every iPad user has been trained to spend a while to unveil the Dock anywhere. In fact, it was my favorite feature and I'm still not used to the new gesture (and I've been using the beta for more than 2 months).
The solution? Skip the gesture of everything. Use the Command + Option + D shortcut to make the Dock appear instantly. It's simple, fast and extremely reliable.

10. Disable strong password suggestions
Whenever you try to create a new account, iOS 12 will ask you for suggestions to create and store a secure password. If you'd like iOS 12 to leave you alone, there's a way to completely disable these prompts and the full automatic password fills feature.
Open the settings app and go to Password and account. Here he touches the switch next to Automatic password compilation to disable the function.
