KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Julie Ryan of the blog, Less than Perfect Life of Bliss, shared this simple idea for a beautiful wreath of leaves, an easy way to add a little color to your decor.
- colored cardboard (about 24 pieces for 240 leaves)
- leaf pattern (on the blog)
- xacto knife and cutting mat
- 10 to 12 feet of thick twine
- hot glue gun
To make the garland, you simply need to cut the leaves from the card in the colors you prefer using the leafy motif attached to the blog. Then, mark each leaf along the center along with the xacto knife to create a fold on each leaf. Next, use the hot glue gun to attach and overlap the leaves on the wire, keeping the tips of the leaves facing the same direction and extending them on top of each other to give it a full and ample appearance. At the end of the wreath, attached the last group of leaves pointing in the opposite direction for a finished appearance on each end.
