How to activate and activate the reachability on iPhone X, XS, XS Max or XR «iOS and iPhone :: Hack gadget

Reachability made its debut with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, to offset the larger screen size. Since then it has become a basic feature of all iPhone (except the iPhone SE), including the iPhone X, XS, XS Max e XR Templates. However, it is a bit more complicated to use because there are no Home buttons on these new flagships.

Do not let the first impressions intimidate you – Reachability on iPhone X, XS, XS Max e XRlike anything new, it requires only a little bit of practice to be right. Make sure your iPhone X has iOS 11.1 or later (the XS, XS Max e XR have iOS 12 by default), follow the guide below and you will reach the top of the iPhone without Home buttons in no time.

Step 1: enable reachability

Unlike any other iPhone, it seems that the iPhone X, XS, XS Max e XR do not have Reachability enabled by default. To enable the feature, you will need to immerse yourself in the Settings app. Tap "General", then tap "Accessibility". You will find "Reachability" under the Interaction section. Make sure the cursor is set to green and you're ready.

Step 2: Trigger Reachability

If you use the double-tap on the Home button to activate Reachability, you may find it difficult to reach these newer models because, you know … there is no Home button.

See the gray bar at the bottom of the display? This is there for more gestures that simply going home. If you scroll down from the bar, you will activate Reachability. It makes sense on the surface, as if you were lowering the display.
