How to reset the password | Shenandoah University

Students receive several passwords SU: SUNet (WebAdvisor / Hornet Hub / Canvas / Wifi), Email, Computer Access and Apple ID.

To register your SUnet password for recovery via phone / email:
  1. Go to
  2. Enter the SU e-mail and the SUnet password (the same password used for WebAdvisor)
  3. The first time you log in, you will be prompted to set up password recovery by phone and / or email.
Phone recovery
  1. Click on the "Configure now" link next to "The authentication phone is not configured".
  2. Select your country or region and enter your phone number.
  3. Select "call me" or "send messages" to receive your authentication code.
  4. Enter the verification code and click Verify.
E-mail recovery
  1. Click on "Configure now" next to "The authentication email is not configured"
  2. Enter your email and click "send me an email"
  3. Enter the verification code sent to the email entered and click on "verify".
  4. Check the authentication success and click on Finish.
To restore your SUnet password:
  1. Go to
  2. Enter your SU email address and click NEXT.
  3. Click on "I forgot my password".
  4. You can reset your password using your phone and / or email depending on whether you set one or both as a restore option. Choose to receive the verification code via SMS, call or email.
  5. Click on e-mail to send the verification code to the registered recovery e-mail. For text and / or mobile, enter your phone number and click on "text" or "call" respectively.
  6. Enter the code you received by calling, text or e-mail and click Next.
  7. Enter and confirm the new password and click Finish.
To reset your e-mail password:
  1. Go to and click on the online portal menu and select "Reset Google password".
  2. Enter your SUNet username and password (Canvas / Hornet Hub / Webadvisor). Click OK
  3. Enter a new password twice. Click Submit
To reset the computer password:
  1. This work must be done by a Howe 112 technician. Visit our office Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 5.00pm.
To reset the Apple ID password:

An Apple ID is the access you use for practically everything you do with Apple, including using iCloud to store your content, download apps from the App Store, and purchase songs, movies, and TV shows. from the iTunes Store. If you already have an Apple ID, you can use it with your MacBook Pro SU and iPad.
